If you wonder why website optimization and website speed are so important, here’s the clue. First, from visitors point of view. No one has time to waste on excessive website load. Quite simple, everybody wishes fast website’s pages loading and overcoming of time lag frustration. Second, from search engines point of view. Maybe you are not familiar, so now remember – Google and other search engines rank higher pages that load faster.
And we all want better rankings and happy site visitors, right? Let me be a bit more specific, here is what we’re doing to optimize and speed up WordPress websites for our clients.
WordPress Performance Boost
UK and US locations
First, you have the chance to choose between UK and US locations. Both data centers (RackSRV at Kent, UK and Colo4 at Dallas, US) are highly reliable and secure. It doesn’t make the difference like between two galaxies, but as close as possible a server is to your audience your website will appear faster. If you’re targeting particular region for local market and domestic language, lets take Denmark as an example… or any other European country, you’ll certainly like to pick our UK server location.
Network boost

Worth stating is that from network point of view there is a benefit of full 100Mbit  connection port as a standard delivering your data to your visitors via the speediest route at any given point in time.
Litespeed deployed
WordPress is database and PHP driven, it also serves HTML, JS and CSS, so it’s not that simple from under the hood point of view. This mix gives power to WordPress, enabling simplicity for end users, but compared to HTML websites it is much more complex system which requires more layers in server processing. We have Litespeed technology deployed on shared servers, which is there to improve Websites loading, but as well other server enhancements.
Tweaking the WordPress
Further, we take few tweaks like in this video you’ll see to reduce the WordPress bloat. It won’t reflect directly on Website’s performance, but keeping the WordPress’s database thinner will help the server performance during a backup or any maintenance work… so eventually it helps Websites performance and it will certanly spare you disc space and bandwidth.
Note: If you aren’t technically good, it isn’t a problem because we set this for you. In client area you’ll be able to access all videos reserved only for our clients and most of the things from those videos we already configure for you.
WordPress enhancement with caching plugin
Also, we use cache plugin to speed up WordPress sites further for better performance. Caching is the method that takes a real-time snapshot ( building a page’s cache ) of every page, post, category, link, etc. These snapshots are then stored intuitively, so they can be referenced later, in order to save all of that execution time that has been dragging your site performance down. This plugin comes installed, but as well configured, so it doesn’t require further involvement from you.
CloudFlare integration
You can also activate CloudFlare with one click from the cPanel. CLoudFlare provides few performance features and as the main we see its CDN (Content Deliver Network). This means that CloudFlare has servers all around the World and it will serve your web-site’s visitor from the nearest location. CloudFlare recognize visitor’s location since it stores your website in the cloud and it serves the visitor from the best location. For example, when the visitor is coming from the Netherlands it will promptly render the content from the server located in the Netherlands.
We advice you to compare us with other sites that use WordPress and we are sure you’ll notice the performance difference.
